I sang at a wedding last weekend in this glorious sanctuary that took my voice right up to the ceiling. It was warm and sunny – right on.
I’ve made my first batch of strawberry jam for the short season with success. The only problem now is making it last as I tend to like to open the jar and evenly split it between two pieces of toast. Slighty problematic, so I’ve taken to giving it as gifts.
I’ve been nurturing a few new songs in the past month and I hope at least a couple of them will find a place on my new recording still in the works. Timelines adjust as times goes by but the goal is the same. Patience is a virtue.
Boston continues to be kind to me and my show with Meg Hutchinson was lovely and meeting her was equally so. She’s such a talent and a kind soul. My MOST exciting news is that I’ve been given the opening slot for a few WEEPIES shows at Passim at the end of September!!! I swear I nearly peed my pants when I found out – good things.
I’ll be playing a few shows in the next couple of months and I’m in the planning stages for the fall. It’s nice to take some time off to re-group and figure out what’s next. I’m crossing fingers and toes that we’ll get at least a bit of summer before too long. My dad always says a little bit of a tan makes you look healthy.
